On arrival in Dushanbe transfer to your pre-booked hotel. Check in.

Later city tour in Dushanbe to visit famous Museum of National Antiquities, which opened in 2001. Featuring artefacts from Tajikistan's Islamic and pre-Islamic history (Greek/Bactrian, Zoroastrian, Buddhist and Hindu), the museum shows that Tajikistan was an important crossroad in Central Asia. The centrepiece is the 14m reclining Buddha in Nirvana, a 1,400 year-old statue created by the same Kushan civilisation that made the Bamiyan Buddhas in Afghanistan.

Later visit National Museum recently opened in the center of Dushanbe where you can see history of Tajikistan from the stone age till present days. Unique frescoes and burned wooden statues from Penjikent excavation site are exhibited there. There is a special section devoted to

Later visit monument of Ismoili Somoni and Rudaki park in the center of city. Visit local bazaar.

Morning excursion to Hissor town (23 km from Dushanbe) to see ancient fortress of Hissor - one of the most precious historical sites of Tajikistan . Comfortably located near Dushanbe Hissor Fortress combines the traditional elements of power, trade and culture of the ancient Tajik nation. Visit Medrassah Kuhna (16th c) and Museum of Tajik Way of life there, 19c Medrassah nearby and mausoleum of Sufi saint Mahdumi Azam.

Overnight: Hotel «Hilton Dushanbe» 5*

Our guide and driver will meet you at the lobby of your hotel in Dushanbe. Transfer to Iskanderkul Lake, known as a lake of Alexander the Great which was established in 1969. The area of the lake is 30000 ha. According to the legend, the Iskanderkul Lake was named after Alexander the Great, known as Iskander in the East. People say that Alexander the Great’s path to Central Asia from India laid through this lake.  Lunch at traditional homestay "Dilovar". Exploration the surroundings of the lake: five springs, Zmeinoe lake (Snake lake), walking to 38m high waterfall which is called “Fan Niagara“. Return to Dushanbe in the afternoon. End of the tour.

Overnight: Hotel «Hilton Dushanbe» 5*

Today we will drive to Kalai Khumb village. En route you will see Norak water reservoir that is called Tajik Sea. The highest point of the day is Shuraba pass (2 267 m) and after drive along Afghanistan border starts. This part will amaze you by its unique mountains – it is already Territory of Pamir Mountains. Over the centuries, the Pamirs have inspired the world’s greatest explorers – Marco Polo, Hsuan Tsang, Mirza Muhammad Haidar. And now you also have a chance to travel here. You will drive along natural border – Pyanj River. Having visited the Pamirs, many travellers called this giant mountain system the ocean of white and blue mountains.

En route visit Hulbuk ancient city (9-11c) located in Vose town and nearby local museum which contains artifacts from the excavation site.

Dinner at hotel or local restaurant in Kalaikhumb

Overnight: Hotel Karon Palace 3* 1350 m

Transfer to Khorog in the High Pamirs for 2-nights.

The road is going along Panj River with Afgan villages on the other site. It passes through Vanch region from where all trekking to Fedchenko glacier start, here mountains have very good quality marble, visible from the road.

From Rushan village starts Ismaili portion of this route. Short stop to see Vamar fotress.

Near to Khorog (10 km) visit Parshinev village  to see shrine Pir-I Shoh Nosir, museum and holy spring dedicated to Nosiry Khusrav (1004) the founder of Isamili religion in this area.

On arrival to Khorog transfer to hotel.

visit a Central Park. It should be noted that the people of Badakhshan have their specific culture and it is obvious in their traditional clothing, cuisine, musical instrument, architecture and folklore.

Later visit the world’s second highest Botanical Gardens and Khorog Museum

Not far from Khorog (45 km) there are the famous Mineral Hot Spring-Garm Chashma and Ruby Mines of Khu i Lal (where Badakhshani rubies were mined as early as 14th century).   The road to Ishkashim is smooth journey. Ishkashim is a small town at the mouth of the Wakhan corridor, where the 19th century Great Game ended. Continue up the north side of the river with amazing views of the Pamirs to the left and the Hindu Kush to the right; a number of peaks in view are above 6,000m. If you are lucky and you arrive to Ishkashim on Saturday, you can see the Crosse border Tajik-Afghan market on the Afghan side. For crossing to the market, you do not need an Afghan visa.  Twin room in Guesthouse.

En route visit Namadgut village to see Kushan Empire time Fortress Kah-Kah, nice local Museum subject to open sometimes closed (history, local embroidery, excavation subjects) and typical Islaili shrine Oston-I Shobi Mardon 11 c with unique beautiful wood carvings and petroglyphs

On arrival to Yamg transfer to Home stay for overnight. En route we will also visit a few local villages Ptup village, Zumudg village and Darshai village.

visit the museum of local astronomer and poet Sufi Muboraki Vakhoni and his solar calendar with interesting story from his grand grand son Aydar Malikmamadov who is still living in Yamg village. Visit the Yamchun village to see Bibi Fatima hot spring, and ruins of Yamchun fortress (3-1 c BC). After having bath in hot spring you can enjoy unforgettable view of the most picturesque part of Pamir valley!  Return to Yamg for lunch.

Later proceed to Lyangar. See the famous Wakhan corridor across in Afghanistan later continue to Lyangar. On arrival transfer to a local Family Traditional Pamiri House for overnight.

Later climb up 300-400 m to see the largest gallery of petroglyphs, located in this area.

Dinner and overnight: Home stay in Hisor   2950 m

Morning before departure visit local shrine Mazor-I Shoh Kambar-I Oftob (Master of sun)

Start unique drive towards to Murghab through Wahan region.

Today we cross high Khargush (4344m) and Nauzetash (4314m) mountain passes and Alichur village (3863m) – the name means ‘Ali’s curse, en route see holy pool with fish Ak Balik. The scenery here is mountain semi desert. Later you will cross another mountain pass Nayzatosh (3137m)

On arrival to Murgab possible to visit local handicraft shop to take a Pamiri traditional hand made souvenir for good memory.

The views of mountains and glaciers along the way today are simply breath-taking as the road takes us to the Ak Baital Pass (The White Horse Pass 4655m). This is the highest pass in the former USSR, real “The Roof of the World” and the hidden site in this expanse of arid landscape is the stunning Karakul Lake, created millions of years ago. Drive via Kyzyl-Art and Taldyk Passes to Osh in Kyrgyzstan. There is a check-post on the Kyzyl-Art pass. Nine kilometers after passing the Tajik Checkpoint, we will get to Kyrgyz border crossing point, which is at the bottom of the pass. By the evening we will arrive to Osh. Accommodation at the hotel. Overnight.

Breakfast. Observe traditional celebrating of Independence day in Osh. Visiting the Holly Suleiman Mount, which is in the center of the city. By the legent King Salomon (for Muslims- King Suleiman) crossed the are of the Ferganna valley and had the rest on the top of Suleiman Mount. After his visit local people began to build the house around and established the city Osh. In the evening one hour flight to Bishkek. Lunch and Dinner at local restaurant.

Overnight in the hotel

After breakfast city tour of Bishkek with visiting Osh market, central squear, Oak park, Victory squear. Lunch. Transfer to Kochkor village. Visit the carpet workshop where you can also participate in process of making the small wool carpet. Dinner. Overnight in the Nomad Lodge hotel.

Breakfast. Drive to Son-Kul, it is 120 km, the road will take about 3-4 hours one way. This is a popular place among the local people, who come here every summer with their families and cattle. You can do one day hiking to mountains, meet local shepherds, and watch the shepherd’s way of life: taste bread and kumyz (the national Kyrgyz drink from mares’ milk).Upon arrival to the lake lunch in the yurt. Walking in the area. Optionally horse riding.  Return to Kochkor in the late afternoon. Dinner. Overnight in the hotel Nomad Lodge. 

After breakfast transfer to the southern shore of Issyk-Kul lake, that is the second largest mountainous lake in the world on the altitude of 1607 meters above the sea level.  On the way a visit to Kyzyl-Tuu village where the local masters make the woden parts of the yurts. Eagle hunting show in Bokonbaevo village Upon arruval swim in the lake.  Overnight in the yurts in Tamga yurt camp

After breakfast. Free time at the lake. Transfer to Bishkek. Visit Skazka valley. Lunch on the way.  On the way visit Burana tower remainings of ancient town (11C). Dinner in the local restaurant. Overnight in the hotel Bridges or similar

Transfer to airport early in the morning. Flight home.
